We have a divine appointment here today! Hello, I am Stef-fanny, I am a City and Guilds Felt maker since the year 2003. I have been teaching the Art of felt making since 2012. For the last 2 years I have developed a Unique workshop Felt-a-Fanny-with-Stephanie with the technique of needle felting. Needle felting is the limitless art of being mindful, fully present in the moment, as repeatedly stabbing the fibers with the special needle -with notches cut out of it - will mat the fibers together onto the flat needle felted piece or the 3-dimensional sculpture. This highly creative and addictive activity will make the participants feel relaxed and empowered to achieve a high standard of needle felting following my extended expertise. I love accompanying participants discovering the technique and realizing they find an emotional release, and creativity flows. My success in seeing people proud of their achievements, therefore, broadening their perspective on life. In June 2022, I am joining forces with sexologists, chemists, women, vulva owners to empower women through workshops and retreats.

This incredible support will help us further our mission of empowering teenage girls and individuals assigned female at birth by promoting period awareness, wellbeing, and self-care through creative and holistic workshops.

Our Mission Felt a Fanny is dedicated to dismantling stigmas surrounding menstruation and fostering mental, emotional, and physical health. Our workshops, led by a professional felt maker, yoga teachers, therapists, and other practitioners, provide a safe, inclusive space where participants can learn, share, and grow. Through this work, we aim to build confidence, foster community, and contribute to a brighter and fairer future. Christmas tales aren’t always about the flawless festive scenes, sometimes it’s the unexpected moments and the mishaps that weave the most memorable stories. Our recent escapade to Stephanie’s felting studio was one such story, filled with laughter, learning, and a few delightful missteps.

But as novices, we soon discovered that felting had its own set of challenges. My niece, with her unbridled enthusiasm, managed to break not one, not two, but three needles! We couldn’t help but chuckle at her record, hoping the needles weren’t a limited resource.

As for me, in my eagerness to master the craft, I became a little overconfident. Ignoring Stephanie’s sage advice led to a slightly painful poke, serving as a gentle reminder that instructions were there for a reason.
